Cars
My daddy loved cars, especially fast ones. One of my favorite memories was when he said, “That car has too much motor for it.” He easily recognized the motor was fast, possibly so fast that the body of the car could not hold together against its speed. But if it stayed in neutral, you could rev the engine, bask in its loud glory, yet never go anywhere. Similarly, Jesus said:
“He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.” Luke 11:23 NIV 1984

There is no neutral in Jesus, no mere reeving loud and proud motors of zeal. We are actively gathering with Him or we’re not. So to my dad in heaven: My motor is still going strong and I’m racing to the finish to meet you there in His time. If you could read this, I hope you would enjoy this birthday tribute. I know you were not neutral about Jesus and I’m following your example. And to those who read this, may your motor for Jesus run strong to the finish and may you be an example others follow.
Jesus
You may recognize the devotion above as we shared it on our social media Warrior of the Word sites. But we wanted to share it here again, just in case you missed it because it is all about gathering with Jesus. And we look forward to the day we will be with Him because he said:
“I will come again and take you to Myself, so that where I am you may also be.” John 14:3 TLV
And what better place could we be than where He is?
As we wait for His return, let us spend time with Him, enjoying His presence and worshiping at His feet. This is where we at Warrior of the Word most enjoy being. As such, our new logo was designed to encourage you to make time for such intimacy with Him. We would like to share with you the inspiration behind its symbols.

May the vines and roots on the Ws remind us of Jesus’ words:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for apart from Me, you can do nothing.” John 15:5 TLV
We kept our mission verse: … to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. 2 Peter 3:1 because change begins with our thoughts. Each devotion and resource we prepare to share is with prayerful consideration that it will stimulate thoughts and hearts to draw closer to Him.
And of course, the sword at the end of the Ds are a reminder that …
… the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword—piercing right through to a separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 TLV
May these symbols remind us to accept and act on the truth of God’s Word often while encouraging us to …
… take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17 TLV

Who are we?
Warrior of the Word is a para-church Bible engagement ministry reaching people with the message of God’s love through media.
What is our purpose?
… to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. 2 Peter 3:1 NIV
Why the emphasis on social media posting?
When the Spirit whispered, “Reach them where they are,” we realized many are on social media. As a result, many are reached with the power of God’s Word organically as they merely scroll through social media.
To date our support has been solely based on book sales at our tables and Amazon purchases. Your prayer and financial support would be most meaningful to us.
